The Bega Valley CDAT has run a Leadership Camp in partnership with Bournda Environmental Education Centre (Bournda EEC, NSW Dept of Education) since 2008.

In October Bega CDAT held the camp for the 15th year. There were students from four local high schools as well as police and CDAT representatives.

While there is an element of drug and alcohol education, the students were also asked to contribute their ideas to the CDAT committee while they were participating in a range of outdoor activities. This allowed Bega CDAT to get feedback and suggestions on how to engage youth in activities that focus on primary prevention, harm minimalisation and responsible partying.
